My family and I just got back from a wonderful, relaxing vacation to the beach.
Seriously. I don’t know when I’ve enjoyed a vacation as much…especially since the boys were born.
Taking a vacation early in the season has made it officially feel like summer break. I’m relaxed, recovered from an incredibly taxing Spring, and ready to spend more quality time with my boys this summer.
This may seem crazy. But for the first time ever, I took a disinfectant to clean our vacation spot upon arrival. I promise this isn’t my normal practice. But I’ve heard some HORROR stories of dirty hotels and rental houses recently, so I thought I would be extra cautious on this trip. Plus, I’ve been working with the Bounty DuraTowel folks and I thought this would be a good test. :)
As soon as we arrived at our vacation spot, we ran in the store for a quick shopping trip. I grabbed a roll of Bounty DuraTowel and unpacked it first thing when we arrived at the house.
I sprayed the “germy” areas with disinfectant and scrubbed away with Bounty Dura Towel. I focused on places like door handles, countertops, and other places that were likely to harbor germs.
Then I tackled the kitchen since were were planning to cook the majority of our meals in there. It’s one thing to think your cooking prep items are clean, but it’s a completely other thing to KNOW they’re clean!
Finally I disinfected the bathrooms. Faucets, sinks, toilets…anything that may not have been disinfected since the last occupants had left.
Once again, Bounty DuraTowel lived up to it’s name and held together. Since I barely made a dent in the roll, we had plenty left over for the other paper towel loving family members to use all week long! And that made them very happy…
