Resources
As new cleaning, organizing, homemaking, productivity, or business ebooks are released, I’ll review them in an individual post and then update this resource page. I hope this will helps you wade through the options to find the one that’s best for you!
Freedom Filer
I don’t know about you but paper OVERLOAD is my number one source of frustration. Even in this twitter, texting, emailing age, the paper still never ends.
My filing system was always something I was trying to revamp. It was labeled and organized, but the labels I thought made sense at the time didn’t help me months or years later.
I finally broke down and got the Freedom Filer.
And let me tell you…it really has brought me freedom in the paper department. There are daily, monthly, and yearly categories to keep up with the day-to-day “active” paperwork. But there are also categories for a master filing system that cover just about everything else in life or business. And just in case they missed something, blank labels are included too. The best part is there’s a cheat sheet! So, if you can’t remember if you put that bill in the active monthly folder or your current tax folder, there are a series of questions on the cheat sheet to help you decide.
I seriously don’t know what I would do without the Freedom Filer. I’m naturally a frugal, DIYer so I thought I could work and re-work until I found the perfect filing system. That never happened. It took me way too long to realize I needed professional help in the paper department. But, now that I’ve seen the light, I can never go back to my homemade folders.
There are several options for the Freedom Filer but these two are my favorites:
- Freedom Filer Labels: Using your own hanging file folders, FreedomFiler label kits provide you with labels and instructions that enable you to set up a maintenance-free filing system suited to your needs.
- Ready-made filing systems: come pre-assembled so you don’t have to do the work of setting up a basic system. Packages include hanging file folders in your choice of color, a filing box, instructions, and plenty of additional labels, folders, and tabs in case you need to expand the system provided.

Weekly Household Planner
If you have basic housekeeping skills down pat, but don’t quite know where to start when it comes to deeper cleaning, you may be interested in another resource: The Confident Mom’s Get Organized Household Planner.
I recently purchased this planner in an ebook bundle and it reminded me of the motivated moms chore chart I purchased a few years ago. This planner, though, has a few extra tidbits. Plus it’s bright and colorful to brighten your mood!
Daily Tasks:
This Household Planner prompts you to do a little bit of cleaning each day instead of saving it all for the weekend. It reminds you to plan your grocery list, cut coupons, and review your calendar at the beginning of each week. It prompts you to do things you probably postpone; things like:
- dusting,
- deep cleaning the oven,
- removing expired foods from the pantry,
- and even buying birthday cards and gifts.
It breaks all the things you wish you could do into bite-sized pieces.
Routine Daily Tasks:
I’ve mentioned before how setting up routines can help keep your home clean. That’s one reason I recommend making up your bed every morning, washing a load of laundry each day and cleaning up the kitchen every night. Well, this planner reminds you to do just that – and more – every single day. Thankfully, it also includes a couple of fun daily tasks like pamper yourself (can I get an amen!) and exercise.
Who could benefit from The Confident Mom’s Weekly Household Planner?
If you like to make a list and check it off, then this planner is for you! It’s a to-do list maker’s dream! The thinking has already been done for you. You just have to make a little time each day to work on the project and then mark it complete when finished!
