A round basket on the floor full of blankets is okay in my book. But when it comes to the kitchen, office, or even bookshelves, square is only way to organize if you ask me. Why?
- Square baskets take up less space.
- You can stack square baskets horizontally or vertically without missing out on prime real estate.
- Paper looks nice and organized when it’s in a square (or rectangle…same thing!) inbox.
- Closets are square so it just seems logical that square containers would fit nicely in them.
Square is good.
Of course, filling your entire house will little square baskets may be overkill. Visually, a couple of round containers can soften things up a bit. But behind closed doors, always choose square over round for a more organized space!

I’m a wife. I’m a mom. And I don’t like to clean! With a house full of boys, though, cleaning is inevitable. That's why I've made it my mission to find the best organizing and cleaning tips. Hopefully, those tips will help us spend less time cleaning and more time with the ones we love.

I so agree! If you go square, you can fit a lot more stuff in your space and it looks better and it’s easier to use.
