Arm & Hammer Laundry Detergent for Sensitive Skin

in Products

Since having baby #2, it’s been interesting to learn how siblings can have completely different personalities, looks, and even skin types. My first is outgoing, has the very distinct eyes, dirty blond/light brown hair and very fair skin.  I can’t tell what kind of personality the 6 month old will have yet, but he has the blondest hair a person could have and super tough skin.

I got used to using laundry detergent made for sensitive skin when the 3 year old was born, especially when I was cloth diapering. As a baby, he would get diaper rash in 2 seconds flat. Seriously. Even though he’s been out of diapers for a while, I still use laundry detergent made for sensitive skin almost exclusively. So when I was asked to try Arm & Hammer’s detergent clinically tested for sensitive skin it seemed like a natural fit for our family.

The detergent I’ve used most recently doesn’t have a smell so the first thing I noticed was the fresh scent. It was a nice change. A bit strong at first but after going through the washer and dryer, our clothes came out smelling fantastic!

I was curious to find out if my sensitive skin son would have any reaction after wearing clothes washed in it. It’s dye free so I thought he would be fine. Turns out there was no change and absolutely no difference in his skin. No news is good news!

I wish I could say he “ooo’d and ahh’d” because his clothes smelled so great. But he didn’t. I guess 3 year olds are really that observant :)

Overall I was very pleased with the detergent and will gladly use again!

I’m a wife. I’m a mom. And I don’t like to clean! With a house full of boys, though, cleaning is inevitable. That's why I've made it my mission to find the best organizing and cleaning tips. Hopefully, those tips will help us spend less time cleaning and more time with the ones we love.

I had to switch to sensitive skin formulas a few years ago. I usually buy Purex’s sensitive skin formula, and it’s great. I’ve bought this kind when it was on sale, and I really liked it, too. I didn’t see a change, either. Now I just switch back and forth depending on which one is the better price that week. :) It’s good to have options.
