Cleaning toilets gross. me. out. Even when it’s one the toddler uses.
Maybe I should say, especially when it’s the one the toddler uses!
Even when you empty and rinse the bowl after each use, it can get pretty disgusting. Not to mention they sometimes miss (often miss?). So I’m all about finding shortcuts for cleaning the toddler potty!
The secret? Cleaning it in the dishwasher!
Just throw the toddler potty in the dishwasher run a cycle.
Yes, it’s a bit unorthodox and I know it may not be the “green” thing to do. It might even cost a little extra on the next water bill. But sometimes you just need to cut yourself some slack and do things the lazy way.
Granted you may want to clean the dishwasher afterwards (feel free to throw a bit of bleach in there for good measure) because, I don’t know about you, but something just seems wrong about putting dishes in the next cycle.
Of course, if you have a fancy-smanshy toddler potty that plays music or uses batteries, I should probably mention that you should clean it the old fashioned way. Just spray it down with disinfectant and wipe. It not quite as easy as the lazy way but it will do the job :)
Do you use the dishwasher to clean anything other than dishes?

Oh I wish I had thought of that when my kids were younger! I did wash there bath toys and garage sale finds in the dishwasher!
