How to Effectively Wash Your Hands

in Clean Beauty, Cleaning Up

A friend shared this video of a segment that aired on Anderson Cooper’s show recently. Since washing hands is an important part of staying healthy and keeping germs at bay, I thought it would be an interesting watch! Plus, I’d love to know, do you wash your hands for a full 40 seconds?!

I’m a wife. I’m a mom. And I don’t like to clean! With a house full of boys, though, cleaning is inevitable. That's why I've made it my mission to find the best organizing and cleaning tips. Hopefully, those tips will help us spend less time cleaning and more time with the ones we love.

I’d say it depends on what I have done and what I am going to do next. If it’s flu season I do wash my hands pretty thoroughly when I’ve been out and about and I also wash them before going to the bathroom since (because of a previous paralysis condition) I have to empty my bladder using a catheter which requires good hygiene. Also at hospitals it’s good to wash and then sterilize your hands I think. But apart from that I think people are a bit too scared of germs these days – disinfecting pretty much everything which may actually cause germs to get more dangerous so that’s something I’m strongly against. :)
