31 Days to Make Cleaning a Habit – Habit 31

Create a Cleaning Schedule

Now, you know I couldn’t end this series without talking about a cleaning schedule, right?

Thankfully, just using the steps outlined in this series will help us all keep housework under control. There are many cleaning chores, however, that don’t need to be completed daily.

So much of what it takes to keep a household running smoothly happens weekly, monthly, quarterly, or even annually. It’s the things like dusting, changing bed sheets, cleaning under the stove, touching up paint, getting the oil changed, yard maintenance, etc., etc., etc. that can easily be forgotten. The list just goes on and on!

Thankfully, we don’t have to keep that list in our heads. We can write it down (type it out) and put it away until it’s needed. We can use a schedule to remind us about those tasks we can’t afford to forget.

Just Do It!

Take a little time today to create a cleaning schedule for your household.

It can be short and simple.

It can be long and complete.

Just make it fit you and your lifestyle.

I’m a wife. I’m a mom. And I don’t like to clean! With a house full of boys, though, cleaning is inevitable. That's why I've made it my mission to find the best organizing and cleaning tips. Hopefully, those tips will help us spend less time cleaning and more time with the ones we love.
