Cleaning Baby Toys

in Cleaning Kids, Green Cleaning, Products, recipes

With a new baby on the way, I’ve been in the mood to take my toddler’s baby toys out of the attic and get them ready for our new bundle of joy. Many of them are extremely dirty and I’m not sure if it’s from previous playing or just from being stored for two years. Either way, they definitely need a scrub down.

As I was researching ways to clean baby toys, I came across a very simple solution.

How to Clean Baby Toys

Ingredients:

4 tablespoons Arm & Hammer Baking Soda

1 quart warm water

Directions:

Mix the baking soda and water together thoroughly. Dampen a soft sponge or cloth in the baking soda mixture and wipe or scrub the baby toy until clean. Dry thoroughly.

I don’t think it could get easier than that! I’m off to clean some toys…

My favorite use for Arm & Hammer baking soda is to make a cleaning paste for scrubbing baking dishes. It’s mild on the hands but strong enough to get the stubborn spots.

I clean the oven by making a paste of Arm & Hammer baking soda and water, letting it sit overnight, then wiping it off in the morning.

We use it for cleaning up when our cat throws up. Comes right up off the carpet! Also, I cleaned my baby’s toys, but I can’t seem to make that a regular occurrence!

I use baking soda with vinegar to get out the awful cat urine smell. We have an old cat who sometimes does things she shouldn’t. I use it in my washing machine and for surfaces. It really works! Fun giveaway – thank you! :)
