Green Cleaning with Arm and Hammer Baking Soda

uses for Baking Soda

As part of Arm & Hammer’s switch and save challenge, we’ve recently talked about the Spinbrush ProClean and Arm & Hammer® plus OxiClean® Power Gel Laundry Detergent. Over the next few weeks, though, we’re going to be discussing one of my absolute favorite products: Arm & Hammer Baking Soda.

Arm & Hammer Baking Soda is natural, inexpensive, and oh-so versatile. It not only works wonders when baking yummy treats, but it can also be used in personal care as well as a safe, “green” cleaner for your home.

Most boxes of baking soda are under $1, so if financial concerns have prevented you from switching to eco-friendly cleaning products, let me assure you that Arm & Hammer Baking Soda won’t break the bank. In fact, using baking soda to make your own cleaning products is one of the least expensive ways to go green in your home.

A few cleaning recipes found on I Dream of Clean that use Arm & Hammer Baking Soda include:

Because there are so many uses for using baking soda when cleaning, I’m going to be compiling a list of 1001 ways to use baking soda when cleaning (there’s has to be at least 1001 ways, right?!).

So, be thinking about the ways you use Arm & Hammer Baking Soda and be prepared to share next week…there just may be a prize in it for one of you!

This is a sponsored post for Church & Dwight Co., Inc, the maker of ARM & HAMMER branded products, who is compensating me to try different products. Save 50¢ off two 2lb or 4lb boxes of ARM & HAMMER® Baking Soda. And be sure to visit The Switch & Save Challenge to tap into more resources and enter to win $25,000.

Homemade dishwasher detergent–wonderful! I already make my own laundry soap, so if I could save money on dishwasher detergent as well, I’d be thrilled!
