Stain removal can be quite easy when measures are immediately taken to prevent the stain from setting. It usually just takes a bit of blotting, rinsing, and a small application of a stain treatment. Sometimes, though, life gets in the way.
That’s exactly what happened to me the other day.
I was leisurely sipping gulping my coffee while simultaneously entertaining my toddler, getting ready for the day, and cleaning around the house. My son reached up to grab a toy and bumped into me spilling coffee all over my shirt. Since we were running late for an appointment, I quickly changed my shirt and threw the stained one in the laundry basket.
A few days later, that shirt made it into the washing machine. I had long forgotten about the coffee incident so I didn’t even think to pay attention to the stain. As I removed the shirt from the dryer and put it on a hanger, I noticed the stain…it was still there.
The funny thing is, I had just received a bottle of ARM & HAMMER® plus OxiClean® Power Gel Laundry Detergent to try. I remember thinking that reviewing laundry detergent may be a bit difficult. I mean, if the clothes come out clean, it must work right?
Well, this set-in, dried-on stain would definitely put this detergent to the test!
Since ARM & HAMMER® plus OxiClean® Power Gel Laundry Detergent claims to “target and lift stains” I was ready to try it out. I followed the directions by covering the stain with detergent and allowed it to soak in for a few minutes. Then, I threw the shirt in with the rest of the wash and walked away.
Eager to see if it worked, I looked over the garment thoroughly before putting it in the dryer. To my surprise, the stain was gone!!
The only downside was that I didn’t have an excuse to get a new shirt. Hmmm…something to think about next time I spill coffee all over my shirt.
Have you ever used ARM & HAMMER® plus OxiClean® Power Gel Laundry Detergent? If so, what did you think?
