You know how sometimes you pry the corner of a sticker or sticky label up, part of it rips off and then you have to start again with another corner. The result is often a big mess with only part of the label removed. Well, there is a little trick you can use to remove a label quite easily.
To Remove a Sticker or Sticky Label Easily:
- Start by removing the corner of the label from the surface.
- Continue pulling the corner up just enough to get a good grip.
- Then, instead of pulling up towards the ceiling or towards the part of the label still stuck on the surface, pull towards the corner that’s already removed (towards your hand). It seems unnatural, but but the glue will gradually loosen and the sticker will come up easily.
- Voila! The label should remove easily.

I’ll try this next time! Right now, I rely on Goo Gone, lol. Thanks for the tip!

I do pretty well with sticky labels unless I get them wet before I try to remove them — then I’m sunk. (I’m thinking in particular of water bottles I bought recently. I needed to wash them before we used them. The gunk is stuck, stuck, stuck on the two that I got wet before I remembered to peel off the label.)
