August’s Top Ten Posts

in Best of

At the beginning of every month I’m going to begin posting the top ten, most read posts from the previous month. This is not meant to be duplicate information for those of you who are regular readers of iDreamofClean. On the contrary! You are all busy people so you may not have been able to read every post in it’s entirety. Plus, any of you who are bloggers know that so much about blogging  is driven by what is new content. There’s much about iDreamofClean that can be used as a reference so this is just one way to keep that content available. I’m sure the same could be said for much of what you write on your blog.

Here are the Top 10 Posts of August:

1. How To Make Your Own Foaming Dish Soap - The popularity of this post has surprised me the most. It’s so easy…and can save quite a bit of money over the long run.

2. 10 Foolproof Ways to Reduce Clutter – This is one of my favorite posts, not necessarily because of the content, but because I could help out a reader. If you have a question, please feel free to contact me via email, twitter or facebook. I’d love to hear from you!

3. 10 Habits of a Clean Home – By following these few simple steps, you really can have a much cleaner home.

4. Chores for Kids – I’ve been wanting to put this list together for some time now, so I’m thrilled that it finally came together! I’m even more thankful for the ideas that came from some of my twitter friends!

5. Clean Your Kitchen in 5 Minutes or Less – This post was one of the first posted on iDreamofClean and it has continued to be a topic of conversation. Yes, it really is possible! Maybe not every day…but it’s definitely doable most days.

6. 10 Quick Cleaning Tips You Can Implement Today - Combined with #3 above, you’ll have plenty of ideas to clean your house quickly!

7. 3 Things to Consider When Cleaning Kitchen Knives – If you have somewhat nice or professional kitchen knives (or if you plan to one day) this quick read will help you not damage your knives like I have.

8. Serve Watermelon Without Making a Mess - This is one of my absolute favorite tricks I’ve learned this summer!!! Once you try this method, you won’t go back!

9. Dirty Pots and Pans: The Nylon Pan Scraper Can Clean Any Mess – The Best. Tool. Ever. to have in your kitchen. Well, at least in my opinion. I heart this little gadget!

10. How to Clean a Dishwasher - If you haven’t done this yet, it must be done. Seriously, you’ll thank me!

I was surprised at how many on this list were from the archives. Do you have a favorite that didn’t make the list? If you’re a blogger, what’s one post that would be on your Top Ten list?

Thanks for the compliment! The cleaning schedules should be available before Thanksgiving. They’re in draft mode now and will be proofed soon!

The top ten list is a great idea! I’d missed the watermelon post first time round (we eat watermelon daily so that was an essential read!). The list also gives me a chance to reread some posts that I’d only “skim read” before.

I am SO Glad you like the watermelon idea! As I said in the post, it’s one of my favorites. It has saved me a tremendous amount of time and has helped us the entire watermelon rather than having it go bad. Let me know if you try it!!
