Prevent Wrinkles When Traveling

in Misc.

Packing (267 / 365)

Summer is officially here! That means many of us will be traveling soon. Whether you’re traveling for work or leisure, I”m guessing you’d like to spend your time doing something other than ironing. If so, try this tip.

To prevent wrinkles in clothing when traveling, pack your garments in dry-cleaning bags. Fold or roll the clothes into the suitcase as you normally would. When you unpack, you’ll find that your clothing will be as wrinkle free as when you packed them!

Have you ever packed your clothes using dry-cleaning bags? Do you have another way to prevent ironing while traveling?

I love the idea, I have already done my summer traveling (early I know, but the hubby is military and is deploying soon). I will however be passing this idea onto my mother and father who travel A TON. Thanks so much for sharing!

i don’t know about dry cleaning bags, but if you’re traveling with kids, pack a day’s outfit in a ziploc bag (undies, shorts, top, etc). Each morning kids can dress themselves without fuss! Dirty clothoes go back in the bag at night, and you have no mess to deal with! Also, the Navy uses the “roll clothes” method for storing uniforms on their ships. It really does cut down on space an wrinkles.

I thought the same thing about wrinkles around my eyes! ;)

I haven’t done the bags but I have rolled my clothes and that works well.

And I am w/BJ on the ziploc bags. That is the best tip ever!

I always roll my clothes and it works well. Never thought of using dry cleaning bags. (We don’t dry clean much, so I guess it’s because we don’t have them around!)

Great tip!
