I don’t know about you, but it seems like I am constantly cleaning up spills and putting away toys. I’ll sweep the floors in the morning but by the afternoon they are dusty and dirty again. I do a load of laundry only to find two more waiting. The kitchen gets clean but a few hours later we eat again! It’s a continual process! Am I alone in this? Hopefully the answers to this week’s poll will prove otherwise! (see sidebar)
Well, there’s a one word solution: SIMPLIFY
Simplify possessions. Simplify toys. Simplify knick-knacks. Simplify clothing. Simplify eating. Simplify stuff. Simplify.
Easier said than done, right?
Now it’s your turn to give us a cleaning or organizing tip or trick. Link up and share a tip (or just brag on your little ones)! If you need to review the guidelines, they can be found here. Oh, and remember to follow #RealCleanWed on Twitter for updates!

These are my thoughts exactly. If I had less stuff (thus my Half My Stuff Saturday ;)), then there would be less to pick up and clean around, etc. I often think how mortified my grandmother would be had she lived to see how much stuff I own. She lived in a small house with dirt floors and 4 children in 1 room who were not allowed to have anything under or around their beds (besides a small trunk at the foot of the bed for clothes) so she could sweep easily. ACK!

Wow! Impressive grandmother! I’m sure many of our grandparents would be in awe of our belongings….
It certainly was easier to clean my fist one-bedroom apartment than it is to clean our three-bedroom house. Then, of course, I also was cleaning up only after myself. Which is not what I’m doing now. Ha!

Ha! Yes, it seems picking up after others (especially little ones) makes a big difference!!
