Did you know that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC):
- recommends drying hands with a single-use towel to help prevent the spread of germs.
- says freshly cleaned, wet hands transfer pathogens more readily than dry hands or hands not washed at all.
- does not recommend repeated drying of hands with reusable cloth towels.
Since your hands are only as clean as the towel used to dry them, Kleenex has come up with an alternative to traditional hand towels. The new Kleenex® Hand Towels deliver a clean, fresh towel every time for better hand hygiene.
A few days ago I told you about the new Kleenex Drying Song and now I get to tell you about a fantastic giveaway!

I tweeted. Hmm. That sounds weird. I posted your blurb on Twitter. Better? Yes, better.

Also, I went to the Kleenex site, and here’s the thing: I’m actually trying to use fewer disposable towels in my house. To be green-ish. So…I’m not sure about this idea. BUT – I will definitely take a $50 gift card to get my house cleaned, yes I will! :)

Well, I don’t like that even if I wash my hand towels that they aren’t clean. Would love a $50 gift to get this house clean in some way. Thanks, Shonda shondaet@gmail.com
I didn’t learn anything new-I do think it would be more sanitary but more wasteful to use the disposable towels.
I like that they are free of inks, dyes, and fragrances.
I love how the package is designed to be used either freestanding or in a towel bar.
I learned the drying song:)
I learned that my reusable towels are not as clean as I thought, ugh!
I can’t get that drying song out of my head! It is kinda evil (in a cute way). I love using them too. Wasn’t sure at first but they have come in handy with the sick kiddos this week.

I didn’t even know they existed. I haven’t purchased paper towels since Jan. I guess that they are more sanitary. Trying to be green. I like the my hands are gonna be clean song.
Um, ok – I find reading those insights as scary as the documentaries that talk about the condition of hotel linens. Yikes. But, I’m with Mary – cloth towels are so much more green and family friendly. But tell you what, I would use any kind of towels you want me to if I could get someone else to come clean my house! SWOON!
Ha ha! Me too!! I wish we could all win!!
Regular washing of cloth hand towels does not ensure cleanliness. (??!!)
I think that this is a great idea! I am all for anything that encourages clean hands!

I love the idea of the handy dandy box that sits on your towel bar. I only use disposable towels in the bathrooms.

I guess it’s new to me that washing towels doesn’t insure they are clean — but I have to be honest that this seems to be a regression in “green”-ness with adding another paper product to the home. Interested to see what everyone else thinks.
