We’re finally moving on to the bedrooms!

Today is an extremely important day to use your trash, donate, and sell boxes. As you move through each bedroom, make quick decisions regarding the destination of each item. The principle, “Touch it once and make a decision” will prove to be very useful. I know using that motto can be difficult at first, but it gets easier as the day progresses. Just try to focus and complete this project in record time. If you have kids, get them involved! You can be the decision maker and they can do the leg work!

Today’s Task: Spring Clean those Bedrooms!

  • Wash linens
  • Wash pillows
  • Flip and rotate mattresses
  • Take anything that doesn’t belong in the bedroom and put it in the correct location
  • Clean out night stands
  • Organize dresser drawers
  • Sort toys in kids rooms
  • If you haven’t already taken care of dusting and floor care, finish the day with those two tasks.

What else would you add to the list?

I would add dust the walls! I know it sounds crazy, but we have a darker color of paint in our bedroom and it shows dust like crazy. Several times a year I dust it by using my Swiffer (the original lightweight one) on the walls. I couldn’t believe how quick it made the job & how well it worked the first time I tried it…the handle was even long enough to reach to the very tip-top of our vaulted ceiling! It was a little embarassing how much dust had collected there and how long it went unnoticed by me, but now I try to keep up with it. I’ve also used it in other rooms for the same purpose. Hope you can use this tip! ;)

Great tip! Isn’t is wild how dusty wall can get? Dusting the entire house was on the list another day but I should definitely add it here in case someone just cleans the bedrooms. Thanks for the suggestion!

I also take the drawers out and wash inside the furniture. You talk about a dust trap, I was amazed.
